Ed Miller, Senior Vice President, Broadband Network Services
Mr. Miller rejoined CableLabs from Terayon Communication Systems, where he was Vice President of Voice Solutions. In this role, he was responsible for the company's architectural strategy for voice over IP and next-generation multimedia systems.
Prior to Terayon, Mr. Miller was Director of the PacketCable™ initiative for CableLabs. PacketCable is a cable industry defined platform for enabling the delivery of real-time multimedia services, including voice over IP, over the cable high-speed data infrastructure. As the project director, Mr. Miller had overall responsibility for PacketCable's specification development and interoperability-testing activities.
Mr. Miller holds a BS degree, Magna-Cum-Laude, in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an MS degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University, where he specialized in telecommunications networks.
