Authorized Third-Parties
An authorized third-party company is a company that has been authorized by a cable operator participating in the PeerConnect Registry to provision data on its behalf, or access its data through resolution or replication services.
- PeerConnect registration services: a participating cable operator may designate a company to perform administrative tasks on its behalf such as provisioning number data or session routing data. Such a role is called an administrative agent.
- PeerConnect resolution services: third-party access can be granted to perform number translation against the MSO data
- PeerConnect replication services: a cable operator may want to distribute some of its PeerConnect service data to a third-party peering partner or a service company providing value-added services
A participating cable operator may authorize a company to get access to its data in several ways:
How to participate?
As a third-party company, the best way to participate is to work with a cable operator. Contact your MSO partners first. You may also contact the CableLabs team for more information at peerconnect-info@cablelabs.com
